What is a niche?
Your niche is the unique way you package and serve your unique audience. It’s about narrowing your focus to a small group, so you can cater to their specific needs.
Let’s say you’re a brand photographer, but your niche is doing brand photography for women entrepreneurs who are authors and speakers. While the market of photography is broad, this niche serves a specific subgroup of people who need your help. It allows you to provide the solution to a particular pain point for a particular group of people.
Why is a niche important?
Finding a position in the market that is specific is key to long-term success. When we find that sweet spot in the industry, we can make a BIG difference on a smaller scale. Instead of trying to help everyone and anyone, we give a tailored audience our complete attention, focus and care. This not only helps you stand out, but it increases customer loyalty and profitability as well.
