I feel a little like I gave birth for the fourth time — my new website is now up and launched.
Introducing… www.mallikamalhotra.co, brand strategy and mentorship for ambitious female entrepreneurs!
This new website has been a labor of love and took almost a year to produce, but I am over the moon with the results. I feel like the new website vibe fits my brand and business perfectly.
Why the rebrand?
For the last 14 years, I’ve operated under the brand name MikiFoto + Co. However, I’ve recently been shifting my business to reflect my new, personal brand: Mallika Malhotra.Co — The Brand CEO.
As my business has been moving away from photography and into the area of mentorship and brand strategy, I needed my brand to reflect that move. With the future of my business in mind, I realized it was time for a rebrand.
My goal with the new brand and website was to create an online space that felt inspiring, confident, compelling and timeless.
My inspirations included brands like Rolex, YSL, Olivia Pope, Tom Ford, Domino. I wanted my aesthetic to feel more mature than the MikiFoto brand, more powerful, and more alluring.
Before I jumped into the creative process, I first worked on laying my brand foundation. Like I teach my clients, I started by defining the key concepts : my brand mission, vision, values, positioning and target before picking out any colors, fonts or website designs. It is essential to develop these elements and to define your brand strategy before you hire a web designer, copywriter or photographer.
Brand Values : What are my guiding principles? What does my brand stand for?
MM.Co : Meaningful connection, tight community, tangible impact
Brand Mission : What is the why behind my work? What is the greater cause and why should anyone care?
MM.Co : I am on a mission to empower women to unlock their strengths, stand in their power and build a business and life of impact.
Brand Vision : What is the desired and inspirational long term goal? What kind of future are you trying to build?
MM. Co : To build a community of female leaders and changemakers – women leading with confidence, making a meaningful impact and living their best life.
Target : Who are you taking to and can serve the best? What are you helping them achieve?
Mallika serves women entrepreneurs who struggle with imposter syndrome, confusion, feeling stuck, under pricing, and obsessing with their competitors . She helps them gain clarity around their skillset and identify their niche. Working with Mallika leaves them confident and ready to specialize, and be seen as a leader and an expert.
Positioning : How are you different from the rest? How can you stand out and be memorable?
MM.Co : My brand is experienced, hands-on attentive, personable, results-oriented and fun. I am a mentor who will go deep into your business and treat it like my own. I am the brand energizer, moving you out of your comfort zone.
The results?
