Thanksgiving is here, and along with your favorite foods, the theme of gratitude is woven throughout the season. This time of year is a great opportunity to consider how your business can demonstrate thanks to your clients and community.
Why is practicing gratitude important to your brand?
Gratitude builds connection
Gratitude helps your people feel seen, heard and valued
Gratitude builds community and a sense of belonging
Gratitude builds positivity
Gratitude builds loyalty
Successful brands are thankful brands. Don’t let the holidays pass you by without showing gratitude to those who have supported your business along the way.
1) Send a handwritten note. Nothing says thank you better than a heartfelt, handwritten note, so show your appreciation and gratitude with your words in a card or letter. In a world where texts and DMs have become the norm, a snail mail letter in your mailbox is a wonderful surprise!
2) Celebrate your clients and partners on your networks. Dedicate a blog post, a section of your newsletter, a post on Instagram or LinkedIn, or all of the above! Give them a shoutout or spotlight them with a photo, tag, or caption, sharing who they are and what they do/sell. They will appreciate the recognition and camaraderie!
3) Host a free gathering. Show up as a leader and get people in your community together to bond, share ideas, network and feel a part of something. You can do this in person or virtually, whatever fits the needs of your tribe! During your event, teach them something and give everyone space to speak and share. This interaction and connection will be valuable to everyone and leave them feeling good inside.
Speaking of free events, have you heard about the next Brand Power Hour: Ready, Set, Brand + Networking Event taking place December 13th?

4) Offer feedback. Share your expertise generously with others. If someone reaches out to you with a question or needs advice that is easy for you to answer, go ahead and treat them like a VIP. Just be careful to play this card wisely, as you don’t want to get your brain picked 24/7. However, for those who are engaged and active in your network, give your time and expertise and be a valuable resource for them.
5) Make an introduction. Become a connector of others. Opening up your network to your clients is a great way to share the love! Crafting a thoughtful introduction to a specific person can be a game changer, so be willing to go the extra mile by writing that intro email or recording a voice message to connect new people to each other. Become a bridge to provide a meaningful, relevant, valuable interaction.
6) Offer a discount. Spread gratitude to your community by offering a special discount or promotion for your products and services this month. This will attract new customers and inspire old customers to come back for more business! Make the promo juicy, valuable and an easy YES.
I am practicing what I preach by offering my own juicy deal — The Ultimate Brand Boost Bundle for only $49! Grab these 3 brand-building products in a limited-time bundle for less than $100. Don’t wait because this $49 brand building bundle (value is $221) is only available until 11/26/22.
7) Surprise them with an unexpected upgrade. Gift your clients with an extra bonus call, a gift with purchase, or an invitation to a private event. Wow them with something special — this is how you create loyal fans for your brand.
Showing gratitude is an essential practice in both personal and professional development. It not only builds a strong spirit but also a loyal following.
Let this post inspire you to make a habit of showing your appreciation for your customers on a regular basis and in surprising ways. When clients can feel your gratitude, it helps them feel like they are seen, heard and valued and not just another customer transaction!
How will you show gratitude this holiday season?
